Recovery Support

M-ROCC offers recovery support as a non-clinical approach provided by Peer Recovery Support Specialist, (PRSS). The PRSS role is to help initiate sustainable individual recovery from alcohol and drug problems and to help improve the quality of the peer’s recovery. M-ROCC peer to peer recovery coaching and mentoring demonstrates love, caring, empathy and concern by offering emotional support and companionship.

Our PRSS offers his/her life experiences as living proof of the power of recovery and helps to remove barriers and obstacles that may hinder the individual recovery process. Our PRSS role model recovery by helping people in early recovery feel connected and enjoy being with others in recovery. M-ROCC recovery support also link and connect the individual with the appropriate resources to address additional personal issues, such as self help groups, housing, education, employment readiness and health.
